In August, 2006 Mario Juarez attempted to steal the identity of his real estate company employee, “Norma”. He attempted to steal her immigration ID # and social security information and tried to use it in order to obtain a home loan for an undocumented person. Norma caught Mario red handed and immediately filed a complaint with the District Attorney’s office. The case is currently being handled by an investigator for the District Attorney’s Office, Phil Ditto.

This video was shot at a community meeting in Oakland on April 22, 2008. The woman in the video is Norma.

Norma also alleges that Mario Juarez had sexually harassed her in the past and at one point, physically assaulted her in public. Witnesses have given sworn affidavits include two young ladies who worked in the offices of Mario Juarez at the time “Jane Doe 2″ and “Jane Doe 3”.

Norma’s case is currently under investigation with the District Attorney’s office

June 22, 2006: Chaundry and Thomas file a lawsuit against Mario Juarez for fraudulent concealment and collections – Alameda County Case Number RG06275774.

This case is scheduled to have a hearing on Election Day in Alameda County

March 2007: A public notary official that handled Latino clients for Mario has given accounts of Mario’s involvment in stealing property equity from non-english speaking victims. Mario took advantage of the fact that these new home owners did not speak or read English and had them sign over their home equity to him.

In one such “equity-stealing” arrangement, Mario Juarez had the buyers of a new home obtain a loan for more than the amount of the sale and sign $25,000 over to him. He promised to pay them back within 2 weeks. Three months later, he still had not paid them back and eventually, these new borrowers threatened to go to the press. By then, Mario had already announced his plans to run for council, so he was forced to pay them back or risk his council run, though he paid them no interest. These types of cases, in particular, really break our hearts and cause us to create this website. If you could sit with these poor and humble people whose dreams and hard work have been stolen or lost, see how tears come to their eyes as they speak of Mario, you would understand why we are doing what we’re doing. We will never be able to fix their lives, but we may be able stop more of it from happening in the future.

Assault Allegations

Mario has reportedly physically abused his former employee, Norma Juarez Ramos, and hit a pregnant woman in the head at his office. Several witnesses have verified this to be true. According to sources, the district attorney’s office was able to recover a video from Costco where Mario was seen kicking Norma.
